From Torrenieri to Lucignano d’Asso
From Torrenieri take the old Cassia road until you arrive at the farming estate of Cosona and continue on passing the old parish church Pieve di Cosona until you arrive at the hamlet of Lucignano d'Asso.
Alternatively, from the farmhouse Podere la Guardia where there are views over rolling hills and farmland interspersed with calanchi, ponds and woods which all make up an ideal ecosystem for the fauna of the area, you can continue in either direction to reach the Olivetan monastery of Sant'Anna in Caprena (1324-34) which houses important frescoes by Sodoma in the refectory.
